NET Examination 2013-14
University Grant Commission conducts
National Eligibility Test for recruiting candidates to various government
universities. Read more at ibpsclerkrecruitmentinfo.com . Aspirants apply in it
for getting job in Government University or for applying for PHD.
For humanities and stream,
University Grant Commission individually conducts the examination but for
engineering and science it conducts examination in tie up with CSIR (Council of
Scientific and Industrial Research).
Examination:
National Eligibility Test
Education Qualification:
I. Candidates who have secured at least 55% in Post graduate
level from a recognized university will be eligible for the examination.
II. The minimum percentage of marks required by Scheduled Caste /Scheduled
Tribe /Persons with disability category and other category is 50%.
III. Aspirants who are appearing for the final examination of
post graduation are also eligible for the test.
Aspirants who are holding degree in
PHD and whose post graduation is completed before september19, 1991 are also
eligible for the exam. A relaxation of 5% in marks is provided to them.
Age Limit Criteria:
A. Candidates who are applying for Junior Research Fellowship
examination should not be more than 28 years of age.
B. 5 year of age relaxation is provided to candidates who
belong to SC/ST/ PWD/OBC.
C. Aspirants who are applying for lectureship – there is no
maximum limit criteria for aspirants who are applying for lectureship.
Examination Date:
The national eligibility test is
scheduled on June 30, 2013.
Examination Pattern:
The written examination paper will
consist of 3 Papers.
1st Paper will be of 100
marks which will consist of total 60 questions.
2nd Paper will be of 100 marks
which will consist of total 50 questions.
3rd Paper will be of 150
marks which will consist of total 75 questions.
Syllabus:
1st Paper will
focus on teaching and reasoning ability of aspirants. It will contain 60
questions, out of which 50 are compulsory to attempt.
2nd Paper will focus on
subject selected by candidates. It will contain 50 questions, 2 marks of each.
3rd Paper will focus on
subject selected by candidates. It will contain 75 questions, 2 marks of each.
Applying Procedure:
Students can apply only in online
mode. For filing application form aspirants are required to visit official
website of UGC and fill the required details. Aspirants who want to pay in
offline mode should follow the following procedure:
1. A copy of challan will be generated while filing the online
admission form. Candidate should take print out copy in SBI branch and submit
the required cash in bank.
2. Candidate should bring the passport copy of their photo to
the examination hall along with the print out copy of application form.
