service, IPS, IFS etc.
Examination:
Civil Services Aptitude Test
Educational Qualification:
Aspirant who is graduate in any
stream from any reputed university or colleges may apply for the CSAT
examination.
Aspirants who are in final year of
degree course may also apply.
Candidates who have attained degree
from Open University or correspondence are also eligible for the examination.
Age Limit:
A. The minimum age limit for the candidate is 21 years.
B.
The maximum age limit for the general category is 30 years.
C. The maximum age limit for the schedule caste or schedule
tribe category is 35 years.
D. The maximum age limit for the Physically Handicapped is 40
years.
Maximum Number of Attempts:
1. Candidate who is in general category can apply for maximum 4
times for the CSAT examination.
2. Applicant who belongs to OBC category can apply for maximum
7 times for the CSAT examination.
3. There is no restriction on number of attempts for the
candidate who belongs to SC/ST category.
4. Entrants who is physically handicapped can apply for maximum
7 times for the CSAT examination.
Applying Procedure:
Interested candidates can apply
online for the application. Last date to fill the examination form is 4th April
2013.
Closing Date:
Closing date to fill the examination
form is 4th April 2013.
Examination Date:
Examination is scheduled on 26th
May 2013.
Selection Procedure:
This examination is conducted in 3
phases:
I. 1st phase involves Civil Services Aptitude Test
(CSAT).
II. The aspirants who clears CSAT will be called for main
examination of civil services.
III. Then candidates who pass both the examination will be
called for the interview for the final selection.
Examination Pattern of CSAT:
SCAT consists of objective type
questions. It consists of 2 papers, which is of 200 marks each. The duration
for the examination is two hours for each paper.
Examination Pattern of Mains:
After clearing this candidates will
have to go through main examination. Civil service main examination consists of
7 papers.
