CDS Examination II 2013-14

Combined Defense Services is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. This examination is for selection in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. For more information visit ibpsclerkrecruitmentinfo.com . Combined Defense Services is conducted 2 times in a year.

Examination:

Number of Vacancies:

Total 250 vacancies are notified by UPSC.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for Army: Interested candidates should be a graduate from a reputed university or college.
 
Educational Qualification for Navy: Interested candidates should be a graduate in engineering from a reputed university.
  
Educational Qualification for Indian Air Force: Interested candidates should be a graduate from a reputed university. He should also have mathematics and physics at intermediate level. Or he should be graduate in engineering from a reputed university.
 
Citizenship:

Interested candidate should be citizen of India only. 

Subjects of Bhutan or Nepal or a refugee of Tibet is also allowed.
 
Age Criteria:

For IMA and Air force, interested aspirants should be born between July 2nd, 1992 to July 1, 1995. 

But for Navy two years age relaxation is provided. 

Applying Procedure:

For applying for the UPSC examination, aspirants are required to go to the official website of UPSC and fill the application form and et themselves registered. 

Candidate should fill the online application form before June 24, 2013.

Examination Date:

Examination is scheduled on September 8, 2013

Examination Pattern:

The written examination paper will be in 3 parts:

The 1st part will contain questions on English language. 

The 2nd part will contain questions on mathematics. 

The 3rd part will contain questions on general knowledge. 

Total paper will be of 30 marks ie 100 marks each part. The paper will be in objective type pattern. 

Interview:

Aspirants who will clear the written examination will be called for interview. In interview aspirants will be judged on the basis of personality and aptitude test. 

The entire selection process will focus on Psychological test, Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test. 

Final selection will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in written examination and interview. 

Selected candidates are required to submit the Xerox copy and other required documents immediately after the selection procedure.
