2015-16
UPSC-Union Public Service Commission has published an
advertisement to organize an exam for giving admission to the Army, Navy and
Air Force wings of the NDA.
Total Requirement: 375
Here are the post wise details:
1.Naval Defence Academy (NDA)
No. of Post: 320 (Army-208, Navy-42, Air Force-70)
Academic Requirement: Those who are interested in Army Wing must be 12th
passed or similar exam held by a State Education Board or a University. For Air
Force and Naval Wings, candidates must have acquired class 12th
certificate held by a State Education Board or a University with Physics and
Mathematics subjects.
2 Naval Academy (NA) (10+2 Cadet Entry
Scheme)
No. of Post: 55
Academic Requirement: Class 12th certificate held by a State Education
Board or a University with Physics and Mathematics subjects.
Age Requirement: Candidates should be born between 02nd Jul, 1996
and 01st Jul, 1999.
Mode of Selection: The candidates will have to pass through the following
procedures:
- Written Examination
- Interview
Those who qualify written exam will
be invited for the interview. Applying candidates for Army, Navy Wings & 10
+2 Entry Scheme will have to face Intelligence Test & Personality Test, but
for Air Force Wing a Pilot Aptitude Test will be organized. The Interview is
having both Intelligence and Personality Test.
Submission of Fee: Rs.100/- can be paid in the cash form in any Branch of SBI
or through net banking of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ State
Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State
Bank of Travancore or through Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card. There are no fee
criteria for SC/ ST candidates and sons of JCOs/ NCOs/ ORs.
Applying Process: Online application will be done by the unmarried male
candidates via the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in/ & print copy of
the application must be kept for future use.

National Defence Academy
(NDA) & Naval Academy (NA) Exam 2015-16 Details
NDA & NA Exam is
managed by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Appointment of candidates to
all the three defence wings Army, Navy and Air Force is done through entrance
exam conducted by UPSC. After getting success in the exam followed by
personality test, candidates will get admission to complete 3 years training
programme.
Conditions of
Eligibility
Applicant should be -
· Citizen
of Republic of India,
· Unmarried
male,
· Not
born before 02.01.1996 or after 01.01.1999,
· 10+2
passed or its equivalent exam conducted by recognized board,
· Physically
and medically fit,
· Min.
acceptable height of 157.5 cm (162.5 cm for AF).

Scheme of NDA-NA Exam
The exam is conducted
two times in a year. The proposed schedule is hereunder-

- Examination: March/April – August/September.

Examination Pattern
There will be a written
examination. The entrance examination paper will consist of two papers. Paper 1
will focus on mathematics and paper 2 will be on general ability test.
Both the paper will be of
2.5 hours each. Paper 1 will be of 300 marks and paper 2 will be of 600 marks.
2nd paper
will be in two parts. 1st part of the paper will focus on
English language ability and second part will focus on general knowledge.
Written examination
paper will be in objective type pattern. It must be noted here that calculators
are not allowed during examination.

Interview:
Candidates who have
cleared written examination will be called for interview. Candidate’s ability
and personality will be checked during interview.
Candidates who are
interested in Indian Air force have to go through a separate Pilot Aptitude
Test.
